6.9 Testing the function
► To check whether the weld start signal cable is correctly connected, plug in the mains plug, switch on
the device and set the weld start signal switch to “Test”.

Flashing of the eyes due to arc
The arc generated during the test can damage your eyes.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment (eye protection).
Required tool:
Internal hexagonal spanner SW3, SW4 and SW5
Allows movement on a surface and on tubes.

Connect flexible guide rails to magnetic blocks with a
butt joint or lap joint.

Position magnets along the welding direction on the
workpiece.

Set the required distance on the adjustment tool.

Release the lever of the adjustment tool and place it on
the first magnet. Place the side of the stop pin against
the external edge of the material, or place the tip of
the stop pin in a groove.

Lock the lever of the adjustment tool.

Remove the remainder of the rail from the workpiece.

Move the adjustment tool along the guiding and
attach all magnets.

Disconnect standard guide arms from the device and
mount guide arms for flexible guide rails.

Hang the device with the guide arms in the flexible
guide rails.
