Fitting the filter silencer
u
Assemble the insert units (E) by inserting the absorption seg-
ments (81136) into the sheet metal coverings (81137).
u
Bend the sheet-metal coverings (81137) back into the original shape.
u
Insert the insert units (E) into the slot guides in the filter silencer body
(81135).
NOTICE
If the cleaning medium vessel is fitted to the filter silencer (optional de-
pending on turbocharger type), the water injection line must now be
reattached. (See also following section entitled "Fitting cleaning pipe").
u
Uniformly place the cover grids (81266) in the correct position.
u
Push the connecting rods (81269) through the lugs of the cover grids
(81266).
CAUTION
If the connecting rods (81269) are not correctly positioned in their re-
cesses on the filter silencer body (81135), the cover grid (81266) can
twist and shift. There is then a risk of foreign matter and contamina-
tion getting into the compressor.
u
Join connecting rods (81269) using screws (81272). While tightening
the screws (81272), make sure that the connecting rods (81269) lie
correctly in the slots on the filter silencer body (81135). Now altern-
