It is assumed that the four analogue inputs are wired to the IED (i.e. UL1, UL2, IL1
and IL2) and proper VT and CT ratios are set on the TRM card. Symbols used are
typical for HV, two-phase power system. Note that for AT-catenary system, some
other annotations are often used as given in the following list:
•
IL1 is current in phase L1 (catenary current for AT-system)
•
IL2 is current in phase L2 (negative feeder current for AT-system)
•
UL1 is phase L1 voltage (catenary-to-ground voltage for AT-system)
•
UL2 is phase L2 voltage (negative feeder-to-ground voltage for AT-system)
When configuration shown in Figure
is made, the preprocessing block will
perform the following:
•
Quantities for the first phase (i.e. UL1 and IL1) will be directly measured from
the TRM
•
Quantities for the second phase (i.e. UL2 and IL2) will be directly measured
from the TRM
•
Phase-to-phase values (i.e. UL1L2 = (UL1-UL2) and IL1L2 = (IL1-IL2) ) will
be internally calculated
•
Positive sequence quantities (i.e. U1 = (UL1-UL2)/2 and I1 = (IL1-IL2)/2 )
will be internally calculated
•
Zero sequence quantities (i.e. 2Uo = (UL1+UL2) and 2Io = (IL1+IL2) ) will
be internally calculated. Note that, these two values are also known as residual
quantities.
•
Alternatively, the 2Io and 2Uo quantities can be directly measured on the
TRM, instead to be internally calculated. To perform that, they shall be wired
