Entries in the engine logbook

Monitoring the engine system makes it possible to draw conclusions on the operating beha-
viour of the turbocharger.

The following operating data and measured values must be entered regularly into the engine
logbook of the enginebuilder:

Number of times the engine is started successfully (possible aborted start cycles do not
need to be recorded)

Performance and speed of the engine

Air intake temperature

Pressure of the charge air

Pressure loss in the charge air cooler

Lubricating oil pressure and lubricating oil temperature.

If present:

Speed of the turbocharger

Air temperature after the compressor and after the charge air cooler

Exhaust gas temperature before and after the turbine

Pressure loss in the filter silencer.
