9 Packaging for transport
If the original packing is no longer available, the apparatus must be wrapped in an air foil or corrugated
board and packed in a sufficiently large crate lined with shock absorbing material (foamed material or sim-
ilar) for the transportation. The amount of cushioning must be adapted to the weight of the unit and to the
mode of transport. The crate must be labeled "Fragile".
For overseas shipment the unit must be additionally sealed airtight in 0.2 mm thick polyethylene together
with a desiccant (e.g. silica gel). The quantity of the desiccant must correspond to the packing volume
and the probable duration of transportation (at least 3 months). Furthermore, the crate should be lined
with a double layer of kraft paper.
10 Service and configuration box
The service and configuration box is available as an option. It is used to simpllify the wiring while testing
and configuring the device. It distributes the signals from the 8-wired connection cable to the different in-
puts and outputs.

Supply voltage
The 24 V DC supply voltage is connectedwvia
a „5.5 mm external/2 mm internal“ plug. Polar-
ity is arbitrary, as the box is equipped with po-
larity protection.

LED
The LED shows green light when the power
supply
is connected correctly.
3.
Analog output
The analog signal represents the measured
value. 0(4)...20 mA current (I) and 0...5 (10) V
voltage signals (U) can be configured.

Digital output
A 0/24 V digital signal can be read from the
BNC socket. Depending on the configuration,
this can be a frequency, pulse or a logical min/
max-signal.

Connection to FMT200-ECO2
The service and configuration is delivered with
an additional cable for the connection to the
device.
6.
Serial interface
Use a standard serial interface cable for the
connection of the COMx port of your PC or
Laptop to the service and configuration box.
Using the configuration software, all measur-
ing ranges and output signals can be adjusted
to your needs.
