Existing ETL500 systems or dial up modems can also be connected to 
this station bus via one R7AP kit. 

11.2.2.9. 

Service Telephone Q8AB 

The telephone set includes a cable to be connected to the service 
telephone socket at the frontplate of the AF interface O4LE. 

11.3. Licenses 

The basic equipment ETL600 contains all the functions described in 
this Instruction Manual, but with MOD600 and NSK600 modems 
disabled.  

License keys need to be ordered depending on how many modems 
are required. The license key is based on a hardware device mounted 
on the RF-converter P4LT, a so called iButton that can be replaced if 
an upgrade is necessary, for example.  

The iButtons are marked with a colored label that represents the 
following licenses:

Note: 

When using the HMI600 in the off-line operation mode, 
all the parameters for MOD600 and NSK600 channels
can be configured without restrictions.  

 

But downloading of the corresponding settings to the
equipment is only possible if the appropriate license key
is mounted on P4LT. 

 

Note: 

An iButton must always be mounted on P4LT even if no
MOD600 and no NSK600 modems are required
(corresponds to the ‘License white’, refer to Table 11-1). 
For mounting the iButton, refer to the Programming and
Testing instructions 1KHW001493 in the annex.
