Service work every 25 … 50 hours
CAUTION
Unknown operational changes
Impairment to the degree of a possible operating failure can be the con-
sequence.
u
Have any unknown causes clarified by a Turbo Systems service station.
u
Visual check for air, exhaust gas, water and oil leaks.
u
Record operating data and enter in the engine logbook.
u
In case of deviations, determine the cause.
6.2.2
Service work at 100 hours after commissioning
u
Clean or replace the oil filter located in the supply pipe to the turbocharger while the en-
gine is stopped, in accordance with the instructions of the enginebuilder.
6.2.3
Service work according to instructions of enginebuilder
u
Clean or replace the oil filter located in the supply pipe to the turbocharger while the en-
gine is stopped, in accordance with the instructions of the enginebuilder.
6.2.4
Service work according to data on the rating plate
(Usually after 8000 … 16000 operating hours)
The rotor and bearing parts must be checked and assessed by a Turbo Systems service sta-
tion. The following work can be carried out as preparation.
u
Remove turbocharger from engine, dismantle and measure clearances (see Dismantling
and fitting, general).
u
Clean nozzle ring, turbine casing, compressor casing and diffuser, and check for cracks
and erosion/corrosion.
