3 2 Intended use
The stair climber C120 is used to transport cargoes safely over stairs (upwards and downwards). In
doing so, both straight and spiral stairs can be travelled. Driving on slopes is possible, too.
Any other use is considered not in compliance with the intended use.
The C120 was developed to be operated by a single person. However, the use of a stair climber requires
a higher level of skill and experience than the use of a manual hand truck.
This user manual applies to the device types CargoMaster C120 S and CargoMaster C120 F. The only
difference between these stair climbers is the type of the handle standard. The differences are described
at the relevant positions in this user manual. Any further information about handling and operating apply
to both device types.
