Note: When the unit is announcing one of the above messages, if a phone 

is connected to the unit, its ring will be suppressed during the announce-

ment. 

 

Visual Identification of Incoming Calls 

When a new call is received, the caller’s name and phone number 
as well as the time and date of the call will be displayed. 

 
 
 

Previous call infor-

mation may appear mo-

mentarily  on  the 

display prior to new call 

information.  New 

call information will be dis-

played for approxi-

mately one minute. After 

one minute, the display will return to its normal screen. The total 
number of calls received, total number of new calls, current time, 
and date will be displayed. Other messages that may appear on 
the display include: 

 

OUT OF AREA CALLS 

When a call is received from an area that is not yet providing 
Caller ID delivery to your area via the long distance network, 

“UNAVAILABLE”

 

will be indicated on the display. The message 

“CALLER UNKNOWN”

 will also be announced. 

 

 

LINE ERROR

 

When a call is received that has an error in the transmission or
