Since 1980 Aaron Loudspeakers has
been considered a market leader in bass
reproduction. From the days of our
famous Pro V1 through to our current
“Low Q Ratio” technology Aaron speakers
has set the pace. Now we are doing it
again with the SW-200 and SW-400.
These subwoofers are an outstanding
example of engineering in every sense of
the word. They are “compact”, “clean”,
“deep”, “dynamic” and “musical”. The
perfect formula for incredible home
theatre and music.
The sound is clean thanks to a long throw
woofer with 25mm of linear excursion
and a power amplifier which is a classic
low distortion class B amplifier with
sophisticated circuitry to eliminate
crossover distortion. Both the woofer and
amplifier are always kept well within their
linear range so the sound is guaranteed
to be equally fantastic at all volume
levels. Deep bass to 20Hz is assured by
the woofer’s extraordinary strong cone
which is used in combination with the
amplifier’s low frequency equalization
circuit. Further more when the SW-400 is
switched to Hi Fi mode the bass is
extended well below 20HZ.
The dynamism of the SW-200 and SW-400 is achieved by using huge 3Kg magnets in the woofer and an amplifier that
can supply large current peaks. Compression is further avoided in high current peaks because the voice coil remains
cool. This is achieved by the coil’s large size and clever ventilation system.
If you wish to listen to music and not just sound effects you need a subwoofer that is musical. A musical subwoofer is not
only clean and dynamic but doesn’t produce unwanted sound from either the cabinet walls or vent. To accomplish this,
our cabinets have thick variable density cabinet walls, extensive bracing and zero turbulence vents.
Our subwoofers are not just technologically advanced but built to last. This is punctuated by the fact that all parts are
chosen for long term reliability and can perform well above their required specification. We also design positional
flexibility into our subwoofers because we know the sound system has to fit in with you. They even have an inbuilt high
pass filter to protect small speakers from excessive bass which is very handy if you wish to use small satellite speakers.
SW-200 and SW-400; subwoofers that hide from sight but not from sound.
