OPERATION

CARING FOR YOUR SUBWOOFER

1. Connect all leads making sure that all are in their correct position.
2. Make sure that no music is coming from your stereo.
3. Set the Volume control (8) to the 9 o'clock position.
4. Set the Frequency control (11) to the 12 o'clock position.
5. Switch the power switch (3) on.
6. Play some music from your stereo amplifier and turn the volume up slowly.
7. If everything seems fine, proceed to adjust your subwoofer so the sound is most pleasing to

your ears.

8. Should you encounter any problems seek advice from the dealer who supplied you the

appliance.

concerned if the difference is very small, that is quite often the case.

10: Crossover By-Pass Switch

This switch eliminates all filter circuitry from 20Hz up. This switch can be activated where the
amplifier used, has it`s own built-in channel filter circuitry.

11:Frequency Crossover Control

By turning the knob clockwise, the crossover frequency is increased, so by doing this you are
allowing the subwoofer to reproduce more of the upper bass. If, for instance, you have main
speakers that already have reasonable bass, then you adjust the control in an anti-clockwise
direction. On the other hand, if you are using satellite speakers, then the control should be
set around mid position. The best way to use this control is setting it to your own personal
taste.

12:Cooling Fins (Heat Sink)

At no time should anything be placed too close to these fins. Their function is to cool the
amplifier and if cooling is restricted, damage may occur to the amplifier and this is not
covered by warranty. Don`t be alarmed if they are hot to touch during operation as this is
quite normal.
