4.10 Gears
Your A2B has a derail-
leur that is operated by the
right-side gear shifter at the
handlebar. To make pedal-
ling easier (e.g. at an incline),
press the lever (A) and shift
down a gear. You then need
to pedal more quickly in
order to maintain the same
speed.
If you wish to ride faster (on
even terrain or downhill), pull the lever (B) and shift up a gear. You
can now pedal more slowly but will have to expend more effort.
Never pedal backwards
when shifting gears. The
chain could jump off, making
you lose control which could
result in accidents with seri-
ous injuries or even death
and/or property damage.
Always pedal evenly after
shifting gears.
The derailleur operates inde-
pendently of the motor. Use
the derailleur to adjust the
gear setting to find a gear that
makes pedalling comfortable
whilst assisting the motor.
4.11 Lights
Set the switch at the rear side
of the head light to the cor-
responding direction to switch
the lights on or off.
