CHANNEL ENABLE

Channel enabling/disenabling

This function enables the single acceptance of the different
channels. Through DIP-SWITCH on coin mechanism the first 6
channels can be enabled or inhibited (DIP in ON – corresponding
channel INHIBITED).
By means of this function it is possible to change the state of
enabling/disenabling of all channels (from 7 to 12 in the RM4 –
from 7 to 59 in the RM5).
Entering the function through key “OK”, it is visualized the state of
the channel: chx enable = the channel is active
chx inhibited = the channel is not active

SEC. 19

CHANNEL FINE TUNNING
Limit coin channel editing

This function widens the accepting “windows” dedicated to a coin. For each set
channel, the coinmech has stored several accepting field, one for each sensor ddicated to
the coin checking of the ocin mechanism. The function  compares the coin reading of
the inserted coins with those already stored, and automatically picks the possible
discrepancies up and allows the widening of the accepting “windows”.
Press “OK” to enter into the function and with “+” select the channel to be controlled.
On the display will be shown the channel number, and by pressing “OK” you can
confirm the choice and enter into the check procedure of the coins relative to the
choosen channel. The display indicates “INSERT COIN” while the programmer
waitsthat the coins to be controlled will be inserted. When the coin is accepted by the
choosen channel the display shows for a second “COIN ACCEPTED” and the
programmer is now ready to accept another coin in sequence. On the contrary , should a
coin be rejected, the display shows “COIN REFUSED” and it waits the button OK to be
pressed in order to proceed to the error work out. Should the difference between the two
readings, the one made by the coin mech and the one stored, overcomes for a value
twice as much or bigger thatn the allowed value, then the programmer do not proceed to
widen any further the windows, shows “COIN OUTSIDE LIMITS” and waits “OK” to
be pressed in order to get out of the function. In this case the refused coin is too
different and it must set onto a different channel. On the other hand, when the channel is
actually amended, it will be shown “COIN UPDATE” and waits either till the insertion
of another coin or for the press of the OK buttons in order to get out of the function.
IMPORTANT: the check has to be executed by inserting the coin belonging to the
setting of that specific channel. For example: if the channel had been set for the 2 €
coins acceptance, the check has to be executed exclusively by inserting 2 € coins.
If you don’t want to amend the coinmech either because a wrong coin has been inserted,
or becasue an uncorrect procedure has been followed, then you can operate as follows:
keep pressed the “OK” bottom and pressed the bottom “-“ without releasing the “OK”
one.
Alternatively, disconnect the programmer or turn the coinmech OFF.
