1.2 Intended use
The CLASSIC 514
is intended to be used to treat diseases of the eye. In particular
diseases of the retina, which can be treated with coagulation and diseases in the
anterior segment, which can also be treated by coagulation, or partial evaporation of
tissue are indicated. These include most retinal diseases, glaucoma using iridotomy and
trabeculoplasty.
For this purpose, the laser is used together with a slit lamp. Here, the laser radiation is
directed via an imaging optics and mirrors on the target tissue.
