C-POE / C-TER MANUAL
VER. 1 REV. 1
SNMP interface
C-POE / C-TER uses an SNMP v3 protocol with the same login credentials used for the web interface. In addition, there is
a user named "snmp" who has permission to access only the SNMP service. The password of this user can only be changed
by SSH with the command: "Change_snmp_password".
To enable the user "snmp" you need to create the password with the command just described.
The SNMP protocol uses a MIB (Management Information Base) file with the .mib extension and can be downloaded from
the web interface dashboard by clicking on the user's image and then on MIB download.
To test the operation of the interface, you can run a snmp walk command from SSH shell, using C-POE/C-TER IP:
snmpwalk -v 3 -l authNoPriv -u admin -a sha -A "password" -m ./genmib.mib <IP ADDRESS> .1.3.6.1.4.1.48108
Note that the full sentence must be copied as it is, writing the IP number of C-POE/C-TER where it says "<IP ADDRESS>".
For the MIBs to display correctly, run the command in the folder where the file "genmib.mib" downloaded from the interface
is located, or indicate the full path to the file.
If the walk does not work properly, it is recommended to check user and password, IP address and reachability of the device;
if the problem persists, try restarting the system services from SSH shell, writing: services
à
restart
