3. Hold the knife handle and  

slide the handle end of the 

knife edge down the angled 

face until it touches the 

grinding wheel and draw the 

knife towards you. Do not 

apply too much pressure.

4. Insert the knife into the other 

side of the guide and repeat 3. 

5. Repeat sharpening each side 

until a clean sharp edge  

is achieved. 

6. Switch the power unit OFF, 

before removing the module. 

Ensure the grinding wheel  

has stopped. 

Sharpening scissors

1. Slide the knife and scissor module (8) on to the power 

unit, ensure it clips secure into place.

2. Switch the power unit ON, wait until the grinding wheel  

is at full speed.

3. Open the scissors to be sharpened fully.
4. Keeping the pivot of the 

scissors to the right hand side, 

offer the blade to the face of 

the grinding wheel resting the 

blade on the angled rib.

5. Draw the blade across the 

face of the grinding wheel from 

pivot to tip. Use a slight but 

steady pressure.

6. Turn the scissors over to sharpen the second blade, 

keeping the pivot to the right hand side. Sharpen from 

pivot to tip again.

7. Repeat 5 and 6 until a clean sharp edge is achieved.
8. Switch the power unit OFF, wait for grinding wheel to  

stop before removing the module.  

Sharpening high speed drill bits
Note.

 Sharpens HSS drill bits from 3mm – 10mm.

1. Slide the high speed drill sharpening module (6) on the 

power unit until it clips securely into place.

2. Remove the clamp (7) from the module and insert the drill  

bit to be sharpened, tighten the clamp lightly so the drill 

bit can still move freely.

3. Place the clamp containing  

the drill bit into the depth 

setting slot, using the grooves 

to locate correctly.

4. Move the drill bit forward so 

that it lays in the “V” guide and 

touches the metal end stop.

5. Tighten the clamp so the drill 

bit is secure.

6. Remove the clamp and drill bit from the setting position 

and locate onto the sharpening position ribs, and push 

down firmly.

7. Switch the power unit ON.
