Assembly
Attaching/detaching the Paint Pot Holder
1. To attach the Paint pot holder (18), insert the arms of the paint
pot holder into the paint pot holder guides on both sides of
the paint sprayer, and push the arms
into the guides (19) until they clip into
position and are secure. (Fig A)
2. To remove the Paint pot holder from
the station, gently pull out both of
the arms from their connection on
the paint sprayer, and then slide the
paint pot holder in reverse through the
guides until completely disconnected.
Fitting the Flexible House
1. The hose (15) needs to be connected to both the ports on the
paint sprayer and the spray gun (3).
Note:
This hose has identical fittings on both ends so can be
connected using either end.
2. Insert one end of the hose (15) into
the paint sprayer outlet port (17)
by aligning the 2 pins on the hose
with the 2 notches in the inlet port
and rotate approx 45 degrees in an
anticlockwise direction until secure.
(refer Fig B)
3. Repeat this step connecting the other end of the hose
(15) to the spray gun hose inlet port (16).
Using the carry strap
The carry strap is used to assist with mobility when using the
paint sprayer. It allows you to carry the paint sprayer hands free
by your side during use.
1. The carry strap needs to be attached to the Paint sprayer by
clipping each end of the strap onto the small bar in the carry
strap recess (21) on both sides of the sprayer.
2. Put the carry strap (attached to the sprayer) over your head
and place the carry strap on one shoulder and placed across
the body so that the sprayer is sitting against your opposite
hip. Adjust the length of the carry strap as required for the
paint sprayer to sit comfortably for use.
3. To remove the carry strap, simply detach both clips on the carry
strap from the bar in the carry strap recesses (21) on both sides.
What substances can this Paint Sprayer be used with?
The following substances are suitable for use with this Paint Sprayer:
• Solvent containing and water-dilutable enamel paints,
vanishes, primers, two-component paints, clear enamels,
motor-vehicle enamels, mordants and wood protectives.
DO NOT
use the following:
• Dispersion and latex paints
• Materials containing strong abrasives,
• Glazes with coarse particles,
• Strippers and caustic solutions,
• Silicate paints.
• Wall paints (emulsions)
• Lyes and acid containing coating materials.
Note:
The use of these spray materials can lead to increased
wear or corrosion damage in the pump area of the sprayer, which
is not covered by warranty.
Preparation of Spray Material
Most paints will require dilution before using with your Paint
Sprayer. Refer to the guidelines in the viscosity table below for
the recommended required dilution. The correct dilution can be
achieved by using the viscosity test cup supplied with your paint
sprayer. (Note: Viscosity = consistency of the paint).
Measuring the Viscosity
To measure the viscosity of the spray material follow these
instructions (refer Fig C):
1. Dip the viscosity test cup completely into the spray material to
be used.
2. Hold the test cup up and measure the time (in seconds) until
the liquid empties out of the viscosity cup.
3. Compare the measured “runout time” with the Viscosity Table
to establish the required viscosity
