As soon as PRECISION has been successfully paired to your Android device, the app will
display the PRECISION Connected screen.

Press the “Upgrade” button. You will be re-‐directed to a new screen with a title of “New
Firmware Available”. It will prompt you to update your firmware to the latest version
0.2.0
Warning:
Before pressing the “Start update” button, ensure that the box
next to “Use fast data transfer” is unchecked. If you leave it checked,
your upgrade will most likely fail, there are very few phones that are
capable of fast data transfer, and you will receive the following warning
message: “The faster data transfer method is not compatible with all
phones. Using this method can reduce the firmware update time to ¼ of
the time required with the default method. If the firmware update fails
using this method, please try again with the default method”. The default
method implies unchecking the box

Press the “Start update” button and you will be re-‐directed to a new page displaying the
progress of the upgrade

While your PRECISION is being upgraded, do not turn off Bluetooth on your Android
device or quit the application. Doing this will cause the upgrade to be unsuccessful, it
will require re-‐connecting to your PRECISION and restarting this process from step 3b

There is a small likelihood that the upgrade will take a few attempts to be successful. If
it fails to upgrade, simply re-‐connect to the PRECISION and press on the “Upgrade”
button

Once the upgrade is complete, a “Firmware Upgrade Successful” pop-‐up will be
displayed with the following message: ”Your PRECISION’s firmware has been updated
successfully! PRECISION will now need to be reconnected for the new features to be
activated!”

The last step requires you to re-‐connect to the PRECISION and verify that the PRECISION
Connected screen displays the latest firmware version and not the 0.1.26 (If 0.1.26 is
still displayed as the Software Version, please re-‐attempt to upgrade to 0.2.0 using the
steps outlined above).

As soon as you confirm the Software Version to be 0.2.0, it’s time to go for a ride!
