Updating the Firmware
Firmware updates to the 3ware RAID controller can be done from CLI or by
using the bootable CD image.
For details on updating the firmware using the CLI, see the discussion of the

Uninstalling 3ware Software Under
OpenSolaris
The following steps describe how to uninstall software on OpenSolaris from
the command line. If you do not use the
-console
option, the installer will
assume you want GUI mode. You must be root to run the uninstaller.
To uninstall software under OpenSolaris

Navigate to the directory where you installed the software. The default
directory is /opt/AMCC.

Change to the subdirectory “_uninst”.

To uninstall in text mode, type:
./uninstall.bin -console
and press
Enter
.
To uninstall in graphical mode, type:
./uninstall.bin
and press
Enter.
Follow the prompts to remove the installed components.
Note:
After updating the firmware, a complete system shutdown and reboot is
required.
