OPERATING THE DURAFLOW PAPR
POWERING ON AND OFF THE PAPR
When the unit is mounted on your waist, you can pull the unit around to your side to
view the display.
Pre-operational checks
Before you power on the PAPR, ensure:
• The battery pack is fitted and secure.
• The approved filters are fitted in place.
• The filters are within service life.
• The headtop hose is connected and locked.
Visually inspect the whole set of equipment including the hose and headtop for
damage and replace any defective parts. Ensure that the area around the filters is
clear to provide airflow through the PAPR system.
Power On
Press and hold the Power button until the beep stops. While you hold the power
button, all the LEDs illuminate.
When the PAPR reaches 160 litres per minute (Lpm), the PAPR sounds three beeps,
and the PAPR is ready to use.
Power Off
Press and hold the Power button until you hear a beep, then release the button. The
beep continues until the PAPR powers off.
DOFFING
CAUTION:
Do not remove the headtop until you are in a safe and hazard free zone
1. Once free of any hazard, switch off the PAPR.
2. Remove the headtop in accordance with the Operating and Maintenance
instructions of the headtop.
3. Place the PAPR onto a clean surface.
4. Proceed with after use cleaning and storage.
