6.2.3. REPLACING THE SENSOR FILTER
Replace sensor filters as follows:
1. Refer to steps 1 through 3 in Section 6.2.1. REPLACING SENSORS to remove the sensor cover.
2. Pull out the old sensor filter with tweezers or other tools as shown in Figure 6-9: Removing the
Old Filter .

3. Discard the old sensor cover.
4. Replace with the new sensor filter (see
Figure 6-10: Installing New Filter ).
5. Reinstall the sensor cover and tighten the screws with the sequence illustrated in Figure 6-6:

WARNING: AFTER REPLACEMENT, PERFORM A BUMP TEST AND CALIBRATION TO
ENSURE PROPER OPERATION PRIOR TO PLACING BACK INTO SERVICE.

CAUTION: Do not attempt to replace the individual filters. Doing so violates ingress
protection rating and product certification.
CAUTION: 3M recommends wearing rubber gloves when handling the new sensor filter
to avoid damage from fingernails or natural skin oils.
