8. FAULT FINDING
Should a fault occur which causes a stoppage, a reduction or a sudden increase in airflow wit-
hin the welding head top, leave the contaminated workplace at once and check the following:
Fault-Finding Guide:
Fault
Probable Cause
Action
Continuous short tones
1. Breathing tube blocked
Check and remove
Red LED lights
2. Filter covered
blockage or obstruction
3. Filter blocked
Check air inlet to filter and
remove obstruction, change filter

Low airflow as per 5.2)
9. STORAGE
The equipment must be stored in a dry, clean area, in the temperature range of -20°C to
+55°C, and relative humidity less than 90%RH.
If the equipment is stored at temperatures below 0°C, the batteries must be allowed to warm
up to achieve full battery capacity. The equipment must be protected from dust, particles and
other contamination when stored between periods of use, preferably in the Adflo storage bag.
10. TECHNICAL DATA
Powered filtering device:
- / EN 12941:1998 Respiratory protective devices – Powered filtering devices incorporating
a helmet or hood – Requirements, testing, marking
- / TH2 P (SL) classification of the unit with regards to protection when using particle filters
or odour filter in combination with particle filters. The number ”TH2” defines the level of pro-
tection (inward leakage) within the classification, whilst the letter P indicates use of a parti-
culate filter and letters ”SL” shows that the filter has been tested against particles of liquid
and solid matter.
- / TH2 A1B1E1P and TH2 A2P (SL) classification of the unit with regards to protection
when using gas filters. The letters “A”, “B” and “E” indicate that the filter provides protection
against organic, inorganic and acid gases as defined by the standard and the number descri-
bes the filter capacity. The number “TH2” and letter P are defined as above for particulate
filter protection.
- / EN 61000-6-3 standard for electromagnetic compatibility, EMC Emission (electromagne-
tic radiation emitted by the equipment).
