Further information and advice
To request a quote or place an order for spare parts, please contact AWS on
+61 (0) 2 9439 0111 or visit www.awsi.com.au. Please note that higher than
normal levels of pollutants, heat and sparks will require more frequent
replacement of components. If you require additional guidance, please check
the care and maintenance videos on our Youtube channel
(

) or contact your local AWS representative.
DO NOT:
“
The particle and gas filters cannot be cleaned
. Do not attempt to remove
contamination using for example compressed air as this will destroy the
filters, the equipment will not give the expected protection and the warranty
will be invalidated.”
Clean the Adflo filters.
This is the most common mistake made by Adflo users, and can put your health (and back
pocket) at risk. See the warning from the Adflo instruction manual below:
Particle Filter
(part no. 837010)
Pre-filter
(part no. 836010)
Adflo filters are built specifically to capture welding fume. High pressure compressed air can create holes in the
filter that, although not always visible to the naked eye, could compromise its level of protection. For example: holes
in the
pre-filter
and
particle filter
allow harmful particles to pass through to your airways.
Holes in the filter also create an opportunity for larger particles to enter the
Adflo motor
. This motor, if infiltrated,
could sustain damage that would not be covered under warranty.
So it’s much more cost effective to simply replace your filters rather than try to clean them.
