7.4 Method 4 – Sleeve/Compound
a)
Slide sleeve(s) included with cabinet over new
end of cables.
b)
Install sleeve to cable and black cable port as
shown.
c)
Fill sleeve with 3M

High Gel Re-enterable
Encapsulant 8882, 3M
™
Expanding Foam
4411 or 3M
™
Scotchcast
™
Encapsulating and
Blocking Compound 4407.

Replace top access panel using supplied
fasteners.

Replace front access panel using supplied
fasteners.
f)
Attach foam seal across front of cabinet.
7.5 Method 5 – Sleeve/Compound/Moisture Block
a)
Slide sleeve(s) included with cabinet over new
end of cables.
b)
Install sleeve to cable and black cable port as
shown.
c)
Fill sleeve with Re-enterable Encapsulant 8882,
Pedestal Base Sealant 4411 or Encapsulating
and Blocking Compound 4407.
Note: Carefully follow safety, health and environmental
information on the product label or Material Safety
Data Sheet for compound being used.
d)
Replace top access panel using supplied
fasteners.
e)
Replace front access panel using supplied
fasteners.
f)
Attach foam seal across front of cabinet.
7.6 Method 6 – 3M
™
Flex Port Kit 4298 (wrap around)
a)
Wrap 4298 flex port sleeve around cable and press side seam together.
b)
Fold over black cable port and secure with a cable tie.
c)
Secure to cable with a cable tie.
Note: This method provides a simple moisture barrier between the ground and the cabinet interior.
Note: The 4298 flex port kit can also be used for Method 4 and Method 5.
d)
Replace top access panel using supplied fasteners and self-tapping screws.
e)
Replace front access panel using supplied fasteners.
f)
Attach foam seal across front of cabinet.
