7 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
7.4 Maintenance
This section describes the most common maintenance solutions that can be performed by the user of
the product. For maintenance solutions not described in this manual, contact the service personnel.
7.4.1 Opening the protective cover
To perform maintenance work and when slide or magazine jamming occurs, the protective cover(s) of
the Pannoramic® 250 FLASH III need to be opened in order to eliminate the problem. Before opening
the cover, exit the control software, switch off the main power supply and disconnect the power
cables (see chapter
1.1.4 Main parts of the Base Unit
).
Warning!
The opening mechanism is operated by a pre-tensioned hinge. Be sure
that before opening the protective cover, open the FL cover first, so it
will not lash to the cover during opening. For information on how to
open the FL cover, see chapter
.

To open the cover, you will need a maximum 3mm diameter, 50 mm long screwdriver.
1. Insert screwdriver

) aligned 30 degrees
upwards and parallel to the side of the base unit.
2. Press the cover opener button with caution with the screwdriver.
3. Open the cover.
4. To close the cover, push down the cover on the right side (above the lock) until you hear a
clack sound.
