Overview

Two methods enable you to administer and manage the
CoreBuilder 9000 ATM Enterprise Switch:

A proprietary Local Management Application (LMA).

A standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent.

You access the LMA and SNMP agent through a dedicated Ethernet port,
any of the 16/32 ATM ports or an RS-232 serial link (LM only). Figure 28
depicts the management elements and the physical connections
associated with each of them.
