18. Cleaning and maintenance may not be carried out by children

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
c) If a extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should
be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally.
Placement
• Always place the milk frother away from the edge of the countertop.
• Make sure the frother is placed on a firm, flat surface.
• Do not use the frother outdoors or near water.

: Do not place the frother onto a metal tray or
metal surface when in use.
Power Cable
• Do not hang the power cable over the edge of a countertop where
a child could reach and pull it.
• Do not place the power cable where people are likely to step on or
trip over it.
• Do not run the power cable across a stovetop, near a cooker, or other
hot areas which might damage the cable.
• The power cable should reach from the power socket to the frother’s
power base without straining the connections.
Personal Safety
• WARNING: To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury,
do not immerse the cable, plug and frother in water or any other
liquid.

WARNING: Misuse of the frother can cause personal injury.
• Disconnect the frother from power before cleaning and not in use.
• Allow the frother to cool down before putting on or taking off parts
and before cleaning.
• Do not move the milk frother while it is switched on.
Other Safety Considerations
• Only use officially-provided attachments and accessories.
• Do not use the frother for any use other than its intended purpose.
• Keep the frother away from heat sources.
• When using the frother, make sure the lid is properly in place and
secure before switching it on.
• After use, do not remove the lid until the stirring arm and whisk has
stopped rotating completely.
• Never fill your milk frother above the maximum fill line as printed
inside the milk frother’s jug.
• CAUTION: To prevent damage to the frother, do not use alkaline
cleaning agents when cleaning. Use a soft cloth and detergent.
