OMC-2301 User’s Guide

Syntax:

epon-common dba-mode <plato>  
epon-common igmp-last-member
epon-common igmp-snooping

Where 

Use these commands to set common EPON settings on the OLT and ONU. 
The following is an example. 

• Set the OLT to use Plato DBA mode. 
• Enable last member query on the OLT. 
• Enables IGMP snooping on the ONU 

20.7  epon-profile Commands

This section describes the epon-profile commands you use to create an EPON profile with 
bandwidth, MAC address learning, encryption mode, delay and priority settings. 
You must first create an EPON profile name using the 

epon-profile <name>

 command. 

Syntax:

epon-profile <name>
epon-profile <name> address-learning
epon-profile <name> address-limit <0-64> 
epon-profile <name> dba min-up-bw <0-16000> max-up-bw <0-16000>
epon-profile <name> dba priority-class <0-7>
epon-profile <name> dn-policing
epon-profile <name> dn-policing max-burst <0-8191>

epon-profile <name> encryption-mode <both|downstream>

where 

dba-mode <plato>

=

Sets the dynamic bandwidth allocation mode to use on the 
device during network congestion. For Plato DBA, the device 
assigns unused bandwidth based on various criteria 
(bandwidth settings, priority and delay tolerance).

igmp-last-member

=

Sets the ONU to query all group members when a group leave 
message is received. This is to confirm that all group members 
wish to leave that IGMP group.  

igmp-snooping

=

Enables IGMP snooping on the ONU.
