EPON Setup: Service Setup (or ONU Setup) 

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

EPON Setup: Service Setup (or ONU Setup)  

LABEL

DESCRIPTION

Active

Select this option to activate this profile. 
Clear this check box to disable the profile.

ONU Name

Enter a descriptive name (up to 20 alpha-numerical characters) to identify the ONU to 

which this service is applied. 

Port

Select the port to which the ONU is connected. 

MAC Address

Enter the MAC address of the ONU to which this service is to be applied. 

Note: The MAC address setting is ignored in default services. 

EPON Profile

Select the EPON profile to apply to the ONU. You can configure EPON profiles in the 

Profile Setup

 screen (refer to 

Section 7.10.1 on page 87

).  

Classifier Filter 

Profile

Select the packet classification filter profile to apply to the ONU. Refer to 

Section 22.2 

on page 159

 for more information on classification filter profile setup. 

VLAN Profile

Select the VLAN profile to apply to the ONU. You can configure VLAN profiles in the 

VLAN Profile

 screen (refer to 

Section 23.4 on page 166

).  

Priority Profile

Select the packet priority profile to apply to the ONU. Refer to 

Section 7.10.1 on page 

87

 for more information on priority profile setup.

Click

 to save the settings. 

Cancel

Click 

Cancel

 to reset the fields to your previous configuration.

Clear

Click 

Clear

 to reset the fields to the default settings. 

Port

This field displays the port index number. 

Active 

This field displays whether the service is enabled or not. 

ONU Name

This field displays the name of the ONU on this port. Click a name to configure the 

service profile. 

MAC Address

This field displays the MAC address of the ONU allowed to use the service on this 

port. ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff means that any ONU is allowed on the port. 

EPON Profile

This field displays the name of the EPON profile the ONU on this port uses. Click a 

name to configure the EPON profile.
