NetAtlas EPON Manager User’s Guide

7.3.1  Applying a Multicast Setting Template

Follow the steps below to apply a multicast setting template to a device.

1

Click Provisioning > Multicast Setting Provisioning to display the screen as 
shown.

Select the template you want to use from the Template Name list and click 
Apply To Devices ... to apply the selected template. You can view the template 
settings in the screen. 

Max Multicast 
Group Enable

This field shows whether the device limits the number of multicast 
groups this port is allowed to join (v) or not (x). 

Once a port is registered in the specified number of multicast groups, 
any new IGMP join report frame(s) is dropped on this port.  

Max Multicast 
Group Number 

This field displays the number of multicast groups this port is allowed 
to join. 

IGMP Filter 
Profile

This field displays the name of the IGMP filtering profile to use for this 
port. 

Querier Mode

This field displays the IGMP query mode for this port. 

Close

Click Close to exit the screen. If you have added any templates, make 
sure you click Apply To Devices ... to save the changes to the 
devices first.
