Template

This chapter describes how to configure IGMP filtering and multicast profiles.

6.1 Template Overview

A template is a pre-configured set of configuration settings. Templates allow you
to configure IGMP filters and multicast settings efficiently. The template can then
be uploaded to one or more devices thus removing the need to configure the
corresponding settings for each device.

6.2 IGMP Filter Profile Template

With IGMP filtering, you can control which IGMP groups a subscriber on a port can
join. This allows you to control the distribution of multicast services (such as video
broadcasts) based on service plans and types of subscription.

You can set the device to filter the multicast group join reports on a per-port basis
by configuring an IGMP filtering profile and associating the profile to a port.
