4.2.2 PIN Configuration
When you use the PIN configuration method, you need to check the client’s PIN number and use the
Zyxel Device’s configuration interface.

Go to your phone settings and turn on Wi-Fi. Open the Wi-Fi networks list and tap WPS PIN Entry to get a
PIN number.

Enter the client’s PIN number to the PIN field in the Configuration > Network > Wireless LAN > WPS Station
screen on the Zyxel Device.

Click the Start button (or button next to the PIN field) on the Zyxel Device’s WPS Station screen within two
minutes.
The Zyxel Device authenticates the wireless client and sends the proper configuration settings to the
wireless client. This may take up to two minutes. Then the wireless client is able to communicate with the
Zyxel Device securely.
The following figure shows you how to set up a wireless network and its security on a Zyxel Device and a
wireless client (android 4.4.2 smartphone) by using PIN method.
