24.5.1 MVR Group Configuration

Not e: A por t can belong t o m or e t han one m ult icast VLAN. How ev er, I P m ult icast gr oup
addr esses in differ ent m ult icast VLANs cannot over lap.

Sour ce Por t Select t his opt ion t o set t his por t as t he MVR sour ce por t t hat sends and r eceives
m ult icast t raffic. All sour ce por t s m ust belong t o a single m ult icast VLAN.
Receiver Por t Select t his opt ion t o set t his por t as a r eceiver por t t hat only r eceives m ult icast t raffic.
None Select t his opt ion t o set t he por t not t o par t icipat e in MVR. No MVR m ult icast t raffic is sent
or r eceived on t his por t .
Tagging Select t his checkbox if you want t he por t t o t ag t he VLAN I D in all out going fram es
t ransm it t ed.
Add Click t his t o cr eat e a new ent r y or t o updat e an ex ist ing one.
This saves your changes t o t he Sw it ch’s r un- t im e m em or y. The Sw it ch loses t hese
changes if it is t ur ned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa v e link on t he t op navigat ion panel
t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em or y w hen you ar e done configur ing.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o begin configur ing t his scr een afr esh.
VLAN This field display s t he m ult icast VLAN I D. Click on an index num ber t o change t he
set t ings.
Act ive This field display s w het her t he m ult icast gr oup is enabled or not .
Nam e This field display s t he descr ipt ive nam e for t his set t ing.
Mode This field display s t he MVR m ode.
Sour ce Por t This field display s t he sour ce por t num ber ( s) .
Receiver Por t This field display s t he r eceiver por t num ber ( s) .
802.1p This field display s t he pr ior it y level.
Select an ent r y’s check box t o select a specific ent r y. Ot her w ise, select t he check box in
t he t able heading r ow t o select all ent r ies.
Delet e To delet e a m ult icast VLAN( s) , select t he r ule( s) t hat you want t o r em ove, t hen click t he
D e le t e but t on.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he check boxes.
