9.2  VLAN Settings

Use this screen to view and configure VLAN settings for the Switch. Click 

VLAN

 in the navigation panel to 

open the following screen.

Note: You could block yourself (and all others) from managing the Switch if you remove all 

ports from VLAN1 and you do not configure other VLAN groups. In case this happens, 

reset the Switch to the default settings (see 

Section 4.4 on page 22

 for more 

information).

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

Port

This field displays the port number.

PVID

A PVID (Port VLAN ID) is a tag that adds to incoming untagged frames received on a port so 
that the frames are forwarded to the VLAN group that the tag defines.

Enter a number between 1 and 4094 as the port VLAN ID.

Apply

Click this button to save your PVID settings to the Switch.

Maximum number 
of IEEE 802.1Q 
VLAN

This shows the maximum number of IEEE 802.1Q VLANs you can have on the Switch.
