Chapter 4 System Screens

4.5 Configuring Password

To change your ZyXEL device’s password (recommended), click the

SYSTEM

link under

ADVANCED

and

then the

Password

tab. The screen appears as shown. This screen allows

you to change the ZyXEL device’s password.

If you forget your password (or the ZyXEL device IP address), you will need to reset the
ZyXEL device. See

Chapter 2 on page 47

for details.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

Use WAN IP address

Select this option to update the IP address of the host name(s) automatically

by the DDNS server. It is recommended that you select this option.

DDNS server auto

detect IP Address

Select this option to update the IP address of the host name(s) automatically

by the DDNS server. It is recommended that you select this option.

Use specified IP

Address

Select this option to update the IP address of the host name(s) to the IP

address specified below. Use this option if you have a static IP address.

IP Address

Enter the IP address if you select the Use specified IP Address option.

Apply

Click

Apply

to save your changes back to the ZyXEL device.

Reset

Click

Reset

to begin configuring this screen afresh.
