7.1 Leaving the device to cool down
WARNING!
Danger of accidents. When you have finished using the device your attention may
be diverted even though there is still a danger due to the electricity and the heat.
If you no longer wish to use the raclette grill, switch it off at the power controller
and remove the plug from the socket.
For safety, take the following steps after you have finished grilling or cooking au gratin:
1. Turn the power controller right down as far as “MIN”.
2. Remove the plug from the socket.
3. Store the mains leads in such a way that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces and
does not pose a tripping hazard.
4. Leave the device and its components to cool down for at least 20 minutes.
WARNING!
Danger of burns. The stone slab is designed to store heat. Whilst the remaining
components of the device cool down in approx. 15 minutes, the stone slab may
still be hot after this time.
Leave the stone slab to cool down completely (overnight).
7.2 Cleaning the device and accessories
WARNING!
Danger of electric shock.
Never submerge the raclette grill in water or other liquids, do not clean it under
running water and do not put it in the dishwasher.
WARNING!
Dangers to your health due to insufficient hygiene.
Never store components of the device before they have been cleaned.
NOTICE:
Clean all accessories as soon as they have cooled down.
Any food remains that have stuck can still be removed easily at this time.
Clean all accessories immediately after every use.
1. If you have not already done so, remove the plug from the socket and leave the device and its
accessories to cool down fully.
2. Clean the device and accessories as described below:
CAUTION!
Damage caused by incorrect cleaning:
Do not use hard cleaning utensils such as an abrasive sponge, a scourer or wire
wool when cleaning and do not use strong cleaning products such as thinners,
alcohol,
etc.
Never place the stone slab or the wooden spatulas in water.
Wash the griddle and the pans by hand with a mild washing-up liquid (see fig. 3/1).
The griddle and the pans are also dishwasher-proof.
Rinse the stone slab and the wooden spatulas under running water (see fig. 3/2).
The stainless steel surfaces on the device may only be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth
and a very small amount of mild washing-up liquid. When doing this, make sure that no
moisture enters the device.
The wooden spatulas should only come briefly into contact with water.
3. Dry the cleaned device and accessories.
7.3 Storing the device securely
1. Store the device and all accessories once everything has cooled down and been cleaned
and dried:
In a cool, dry storage space
Inaccessible to children
Away from sharp or pointed objects
Do not stack any objects on the device.
