Pedal assistance
Electric motor
The installed electric motor assists you when pedalling. The controller allows you to select how much
assistance you want the electric motor to provide. Different levels are available for this. The electric
motor assists you up to a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
Battery
A rechargeable battery is needed to power the pedal assistance. It is integrated into the down tube
of the frame.
The battery can be removed from the frame for charging using the appropriate key. Use only the
charger included in the scope of supply to charge the battery. The battery is equipped with the fol-
lowing connectors and indicators:
-
Charging socket
-
USB port
-
ON/OFF button
-
Lock for locking the battery
-
Folding handle for pulling the battery out of the frame
Like most large rechargeable batteries, lithium ion batteries are classified as hazardous
goods under shipping regulations. If the battery container is attached to the bike,
transport by land and water is permitted. For transport by air, the regulations for hazard-
ous goods apply. (In this case, please check the local shipping regulations.)
Defective batteries must NOT be shipped and must be disposed of in the prescribed man-
ner!
Controller
The bike has a controller for individual adjustment of the pedal assistance provided by the motor.
The control element for the controller is mounted on the handlebar. The controller calculates the
level of motor assistance, depending on the set assistance level, speed and pedal force. Pedal assis-
tance is active up to a maximum speed of 25 km/h. No assistance is possible at higher speeds.
Suspension
The seat post has a suspension system. It serves to protect the rider and the bike from shocks and
vibrations caused by the contact with the ground.
