6.2.2 Operating materials

6.2.2.1 Handling operating materials (hazardous substances, chemicals)

Observe the hazard pictograms as well as the H and P sets (formerly R and S sets) which may be

affixed to the packaging of the operating materials (cleaning agents, lubricants and adhesives).

Additional information can be found in the respective safety data sheets. The safety data sheets of the

operating materials used can be obtained from customer service or the respective manufacturer.
Wearing liquid-tight and at least short-term resistant protective gloves and goggles is recommended.

Disposal of operating materials and contaminated aids

Residues of the operating materials, their existing substances as well as all auxiliaries that

have been in contact with these substances must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly

and proper manner. This applies in particular to lubricants, adhesives and water/oil mixtures

(maintenance unit).
• Observe the country-specific rules on environmental protection when disposing of waste

materials (hazardous substances, chemicals).

• Collect and store waste material separately in suitable containers and dispose of them only at

official sites.

• Allow contaminated items such as cloths and brushes to dry and dispose of them in the same

way as the operating materials.

6.2.2.2 Cleaning agents

Note:

The use of incorrect cleaning products, not approved by Zünd, can damage the machine.
• Only use cleaning fluids recommended by Zünd Systemtechnik.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Caustic substances and scouring agents can damage

the surfaces of the cutter (e.g., operating unit).

The synthetic lubricant is also used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It has good water

resistance and at the same time serves as corrosion protection.
