Installing the BPS12

5.1

Introduction

This chapter describes:

•

the guidelines for selecting a site

•

the tools required for installation

•

the instructions for attaching the mounting brackets to the BPS12

•

the instructions for attaching the BPS12 to an equipment rack

The BPS12 was designed to be permanently installed within a network room in a 19" equipment

rack. You must carefully install the BPS12 system to ensure its proper operation.

Warning

The BPS12 is designed to be installed by qualified personnel only. Installation by

unqualified individuals may result in bodily injury and damage to the BPS12 and

surrounding equipment.

Warning

This equipment is to be installed and maintained by service personnel only as

defined by AS/NZS 3260 Clause 1.2.14.3 Service Personnel.

Warning

The BPS12 must be installed in a secure location where access is restricted to

qualified personnel. Placing the BPS12 in a location accessible by unqualified

individuals may result in bodily injury and damage to the BPS12 and surrounding

equipment.

Warning

The BPS12 shall be connected only to Zultys products, using only cables and power

connectors supplied by Zultys.
