Packet Processing and Resource Board
(MPR)

1.

Functions

The  MPR  provides  VoIP  and  facsimile  forwarding  function  for  common
telephone  subscribers  connecting  into  IP  networks.  The  board  also
provides  DTMF  detection/generation,  MFC  detection/generation,  TONE
and  voice  generation,  CID  transmitting  and  conference  call  functions,
for implementing basic call service and other value-added services.

The MPR board has several functional modules: VoIP, resource,
Ethernet switching/interface, TDM switching and CPU.

The  VoIP  module  can  transmit  120  channels  of  VoIPs  and  facsimiles.
The  resource  module  provides  DTMF  detection/generation,  MFC
detection/generation,  TONE  and  tone  generation,  CID  transmission,
conference  call  in  120  channels.  The  Ethernet  switching/interface
module implements data flow access and distribution in the IP network
