FSAP 9800 Technical Manual

Traffic convergence function

To implement the traffic convergence function, the large-ca-
pacity DSLAM is plugged-in with a GPNC card in downlink
mode.

�

Subscriber card function

DSLAM is plugged-in with a GPNC card and connected to the
terminal modem, implementing FTTH.

The GPON access module supports the following functions:

MAC address forwarding table management

Data encryption

�

Multicast service

�

QoS

�

STP

Environment

Monitoring Module

The FSAP 9800 environment monitoring module consists of the
following:

�

Power monitor unit

�

Power distribution monitor unit

�

Fan monitor unit

FSAP 9800 connects to

environment monitor module through

the environment monitoring serial port on the main control card.

When the monitor parameters are unusual, the monitor module
automatically reports alarms to the device, enhancing the man-
agement and maintenance of the device. Users can set the alarm
upper/lower threshold of some environment parameters in

mode or NM mode. The device gives the parameter to the moni-
tor unit and the monitoring unit determines whether to create an
alarm upon the alarm upper/lower threshold.
