Brake fluid
Check the level on the brake liquid tank. This level must be always
maintained between MIN and MAX. During the vehicle operation,
due to the wear-out and automatic regulation of the brake lining, the
brake liquid level may be slightly lower. This is normal.
However, if the liquid level drops significantly or becomes lower than
the “MIN” mark in short period of time, there may be leakage in the
braking system. If the brake liquid level is too low, the brake indicator
lamp will be also illuminated. In such a case, you should immediately
drive your vehicle to service station.
As the braking system is critical for safety, you need to check various
components of the brake frequently to ensure that they work normally.
The brake liquid shall be changed by a professional.
The brake liquid is hygroscopic; therefore, it may absorb the moisture
in the ambient air during operation. However, a too high moisture
content in the brake liquid may result in the constant corrosion inside
the braking system. In addition, the boiling point of the brake liquid
may be also reduced largely. Under certain conditions, this may
influence the braking efficiency. Therefore, the brake liquid must be
changed.
Change of the brake fluid should observe Three-Guarantee Certificate
and Maintenance Manual, which is suggested to be performed by the
authorized service station.
Warning!
● The old brake liquid shall be properly stored in the sealed
original vessel which shall be kept out of reach by the children
to avoid any poisoning risk !
● If the brake liquid is too old, it may produce air bubbles in the
brake device in the case of abrupt braking operation. These
bubbles may influence the braking efficiency, thus to impair
the driving safety and result in risks of traffic accident!
