4. OPERATION
4.1 Introduction
This section provides all the information necessary to configure, monitor and control PRO/EXT modules for opera-
tion using eZ software. This chapter assumes DAU stack is correctly assembled and connected (Refer to RD1 , RD2
and

INSTALLATION – page 7 ).
4.2 Physical layer configuration
PRO and PRO/EXT modules only require to set V
aux
power supply level, between 15V and 30V if required by the ap-
plication.
4.3 Configuration using eZ software

Min Voltage: The minimum voltage required by the user electronics on V
aux
. Set as 15V if V
aux
is unused.

Max Voltage: The maximum voltage tolerated by the user electronics on V
aux
. Set as 30V if V
aux
is unused.
These two settings and the other modules configuration will allow the compiler to define the DAU power supply

aux
voltage level (unique V
aux
voltage output per DAU power supply, PSI or PSS).
4.4 Troubleshooting and status
The PRO and EXT modules are purely passive and do not communicate with the CPU of the DAU. Hence, no status
is available for these modules.
Note:
At power up, 30V will be outputed on V
aux
until software configuration ends, whatever this setting
value.

PSI apply to module positions 0 to 8
PSS apply to module positions 9 to 16
