ZP1-F Series Quick Operation Guide
If you hear the buzzer
Determine the cause of the buzzer
If the buzzer is sounding and the Fire Alarm LEDs are
flashing or steady, then it’s a fire alarm.
If the buzzer is sounding and the Fault LED is steady,
then it’s a fault.
WARNING:
Depending on your fire alarm system
configuration, the buzzer may be your first indication of a
fire alarm.
For a fire alarm
1. Determine the location of the fire
Check the location of the fire, indicated by the Zone
Alarm LED.
If Fire Alarm and Zone Alarm LEDs are flashing, the fire
alarm has been activated by a detector. If they are
steady, the fire alarm has been activated by a manual
call point.
2. Verify the fire alarm
If necessary, investigate the location of the fire alarm to
confirm that the alarm is genuine.
Depending on the configuration of your fire alarm
system, you may have up to ten minutes to investigate
the alarm before sounders and other alarm notification
devices are activated.
3. Activate the sounders
If the fire alarm is verified, do either of the following to
activate the sounders and other alarm notification
devices immediately:
Break the nearest manual call point.
— or —
Press the Sounder Start/Stop button on the control
panel. (This requires operator user level access.)
