Hold the branch / wood chips at the same angle as the infeed hopper.
When the branch becomes short and is in the chipper hopper, finish processing by pushing it
into the machine with the next branch if needed.
If the branches are smaller than 50 mm, several branches can be feed into the machine at once.
"For garden waste/small materials, it is recommended to keep chipping branches larger than 30
mm but smaller than 120 mm in order to avoid clogging of the chamber and to obtain an opti-
mal ejection.
NOTE: Green branches are easier to process than hard wood.
Be sure to wear protective gloves when feeding the chipper.
Situations where the machine must be stopped immediately.
1. unusual noises / vibrations of the machine
2. if the machine is blocked due to overload or other reasons, stop the machine immediately.
Follow the procedure below to loosen a jammed flywheel:
•
Stop the engine
•
Remove the spark plug
•
Disconnect the battery at the negative (-) terminal
•
Remove the material remaining in the chipping hopper
•
Remove the deflector
•
Check to see if the deflector is clogged. If this is the case, clear it with a branch.
•
Use a wooden stick to loosen and remove the material remaining in the chipper cham-
ber.
•
put the deflector back in place
•
reinsert the spark plug and reconnect the battery terminal (-)
•
Start the machine and allow the material in the chipping chamber to drain through the
deflector.
•
If the chamber does not clear and the flywheel is still stuck, repeat the above proce-
dure.
•
The chipping chamber must be clear before attempting to feed any more material into
the machine.
•
If you jam the machine and do not stop the engine, the belt may burn or the clutch
may be damaged.
•
Before starting, check that the flywheel turns freely..

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, DISPOSAL
WARNIN G
No cleaning, upkeep, checks or maintenance when machine is running
Shut off the machine and let it cool down before start servicing! ON-OFF-Switch in
position „0“ and spark plug cab is removed.
16.1
Cleaning
Procedure:
1.
Turn off the machine and declutch all command levers.
2.
Allow the machine to cool down.
3.
Move the throttle lever to the "SLOW" position and remove the spark plug connector
from the spark plug.
4.
Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and other debris from the machine
after each use.
5.
After cleaning put on the spark-plug cab again.
N OTE
The use of solvents, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners leads to damage to the ma-
chine!
Therefore: When cleaning, use only mild detergent. The use of high pressure clean-
ers is not recommended. It shortens the service life and reduces the operational in-
tegrity. (Water can get into the gear!)
16.2
Maintenance
The machine does not require intense maintenance. It contains only a few parts that the opera-
tor needs to maintain. Any faults or defects that could affect the safety of the machine must be
rectified immediately.
