Attach the chain guard (7.). Tighten the handwheel
slightly (8.).
Tighten the chain tensioning wheel anti-clockwise to
tension the chain (9.).
The saw chain must not sag, but it should be possible to pull
it 2-3 mm off the saw rail in the middle of the saw rail.
Tighten the handwheel to attach the rail and the cover
(10.).
Turn the saw chain by hand to check that it runs
perfectly. It must slide freely in the rail
NOTE: Check and re-adjust the tension of a new chain after working for a few minutes. Switch the
motor off, remove the battery and actuate the chain brake!
14.2.3
Regrinding saw chain
Special tools are required to sharpen the saw chain and guarantee that the blades of the chain
are sharpened at the correct angle and to the correct depth. We recommend having the saw
chain reground by specialist.
14.3
Storage
Clean all components thoroughly before storage.
Store the machine separately in a dry room at not less than -10°C.
Store the battery and charger separately from the machine.
Please observe and follow the storage conditions for the battery and charger as described in
their instructions.
If the machine is not used for a longer period of time, it is essential to drain the chain
lubricating oil from the machine.
Put the protective cover on the saw rail.
14.4
Disposal
Do not dispose the machine in residual waste. Contact your local authorities for information
regarding the available disposal options. When you buy at your local dealer for a replacement
unit, the latter is obliged to exchange your old.
