Patch Xmit
may be performed on MAP27 and conventional channels. If
Patch Xmit
is
used to setup the call, the ringing on MAP27 cause mutual busy; therefore preventing the
operator’s transmit. Transmit works after the call on MAP27 channel is already setup.
Transmitting Alert Tones (Alert 1 through Alert 4)
When one of the
Alert
buttons is pressed, an alert or test tone transmits over all selected
channels. When the
Alert
button is released the tone transmission stops.
Talking to a Remote Base Station (Site Icom)
Pressing and holding the
Site Icom
button provides an audio connection (through the
microphone) to a remote base station site without transmitting over the radio channel. This
acts like an intercom between the console and service personnel at the base station site.
Performing a Priority Transmit (Pri’ty Xmit)
The
Priority Transmit
button allows a console position to override any other console
transmitting on a specific channel.
The
Priority Transmit
button only works on a console position where the user has the
UMS IntegratorRD supervisor control permission.
Selecting Base Station Functions
Selecting Frequency, PL, DVP Coded/Clear, and Repeater Modes
Channel functions, such as Frequency Select, PL Select, DVP Coded/Clear, and Repeater
Enable are preprogrammed. The state of these functions is displayed in fields 4, 5, and 6 of
the channel module.
Eight buttons associated with these three fields are

Rptr OFF
.
To change the frequency of a multiple frequency base station, highlight the channel
module and use the
F
buttons to change the frequency selection. Use the
PL
buttons to
select the Private Line function of the channel. Use the DVP Coded/Clear buttons to select
Coded or Clear function of the channel.
To enable a base station repeater, press the
Rptr ON
button. To disable the repeater, press
the
Rptr OFF
button.
Note
Priority Transmit does not work on MAP27 channels.
