Setup for connecting Scanfob 2002 via Bluetooth as a Keyboard*
The Scanfob must be charged before use
. Connect to a powered USB port for about 4 hours.
* iPad, iPhone, iTouch - Scanfob 2002 ONLY works as a Keyboard
To use with SerialMagic or SerialMagic Gears, use the other side of this sheet.

Step 1
: Scan the
HID
code below to set the Scanfob to
Bluetooth-HID keyboard mode.

Step 2
: Scan the barcode below “Make Discoverable & Connectable” or hold down the
small button on the Scanfob 2002 for five seconds. The LED will flash blue rapidly.

Step 3
: Start Bluetooth discovery from the Phone or PC and pick the Scanfob when the
name is shown on the Phone or PC.
Step 4
: The Scanfob 2002 will begin beeping periodically and the scan beam will remain
on. Scan the number barcodes to the right according to the numbers shown on the Phone
or PC. Scan the END barcode when done.
A slow blue flash of the LED shows a good Scanfob 2002 Bluetooth connection to your
Phone or PC.
Step 5
: Scan the following code (prefix=NONE, suffix=CR)
Step 6 (optional)
: For iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch, scan “Enable iOS Keyboard Toggle”
below (only need to scan once). Press the small button on the Scanfob 2002 to toggle the
on-screen keyboard.

When done using the Scanfob, scan “Disconnect and Radio Off” below or hold the small button for 5 seconds.
Reconnect by scanning “Reconnect to Last Device” below or hold the big button for 5 seconds.
