Maintenance
Introduction
WARNING: Read and understand the Safety
Chapter before performing maintenance on
the machine.
Maintenance schedule
The following list describes the maintenance procedures to be performed on the machine. Most items are described
in the maintenance section. The user should only carry out the maintenance and service described in this operator’s
manual. For maintenance other than the ones described in this manual, always contact your local dealer.

Clean the outside of the machine.
●
Remove leaves, dirt, etc. from mufflers, exhaust pipes, blades, and
engines.
●
From a safety standpoint, make sure that the blade does not work
when the throttle lever is in the idling position.
●
Confirm that the engine switch works properly.

Inspect the blade and blade cover for damage or cracks. Replace if
damaged.
●
Inspect the handguard for damage or cracks. Replace if damaged.
●
Check for leaks from the engine, fuel tank, and fuel system.
●
Check that nuts, screws, and bolts are tightened securely.
●
Inspect the fuel filter for contamination and check the fuel hose for
cracks or other abnormalities. Replace if necessary.
●
Inject grease into the gear housing after every 20 hours of use.
●
Inspect the starter and starter rope for damage.
●
Clean the air filter. Replace if necessary.
●
Clean the outside of the spark plug. Remove the spark plug and
check the electrode gap. Adjust the gap properly or replace the
spark plug.

Clean the cooling air intake and cylinder fins of the machine.
●
Clean the outside and surroundings of the carburetor.
●
Clean the fuel tank.
●
Additional tightening of the cylinder mounting bolts
●
Additional tightening of the engine parts
●
Muffler carbon removal

Check all cords and connections.
●
