Operation of the device

Positioning the patient and explaining the procedure to the

patient

•

Ask the patient to position his/her chin on the motorized chin rest and

forehead against the forehead rest. Ensure that the patient's chin is on

the front edge of the chin rest. Ensure that the patient does not hold

onto to the chin rest.

•

Using the height adjustment buttons (

, Fig. 3), adjust the motorized

chin rest so that the patient's eyes are set to the height of the Canthus

marks (

, Fig. 4).



Disinfect the chin rest after each patient.

CAUTION - RISK OF PINCHING

The motorized chin rest should only be height-adjusted while maintaining

direct visual contact with the patient.

•

Explain to the patient that measurements with the device are

contactless.

•

Inform the patient about the measurement procedure prior to

measurement.

•

Ensure that there are no foreign bodies in the tear film (e.g. eyelashes).

Ask the patient to blink once or twice prior to the start of

measurements.
